After few years without my thinkpad. Thinkpad X1-2017

My oak (thinkpad 400) was working from 2008 to 2015, by far the best laptop I have had, actually it continued working but I changed to zenbook, during this time (2015-2017) I did not enjoy the laptop, it was just a work-object, today I've got a new thinkpad now the X1-2017. (in the mean time I also had an hp-envy ultrabook which I never used because it was ugly and rather unconfortable to me, particularly the trackpad).

After using for a couple of days my new thinkpad, I had the feeling that while other notebooks are just that notebooks to me, on the other hand thinkpads are a kid toy for me.

2. Windows 10 has to be installed.
First I removed windows 10 and tried to install opensuse alone from scratch, no way to boot in this way (did not reconigce the grub partition or so). I tried a couple of options with windows not installed and the bios tries to change the boot?
3. I reinstalled window, and then install linux leaving the secure boot on.
The grub boot with the secure option.
Recuerda que primero se debe achicar la particion de windows
have followed the instructions here, and I successfully shrank my OS partition in about 10 minutes. Running under Windows 10, but I doubt it makes a difference here.
The steps are:
Disable hibernation. Restart.
Disable pagefile. Restart.
Disable system protection. Restart.
Now the three files that were preventing partition reduction are gone. Reduce partition size, and then restore the three items.
Disk defragmentation
Disk management (shrink the partition).

Docking station

I bought a Lenovo ThunderBolt-3 Docking station
If you have problem with your devices (mouse and keyboard), have a look at this site: details on lenovo thunderbolt-3 docking station under linux Tuve que habilitar en la bios el Support in preboot environment, y tambien desabilitar la seguridad para que anden el mouse y el teclado en la docking station.
Ojo con las conexiones solo una thunberbold es la que puede alimentar a la Laptop.
Lamentablemente no he logrado hacer funcionar los auriculares desde la docking station.
I am using a wifi connection but has read that others have problems with the ethernet port
